Ensembles
Wind Symphony

Acknowledged as
one of the premier high school ensembles in the
state of Louisiana, the Northshore High School Wind
Symphony is selected from the most outstanding
musicians attending Northshore High School. Members
of the Wind Symphony are regularly selected for
parish, district, state, regional, and national
honor bands. The Wind Symphony has consistently
earned superior ratings at district, state, and
national festivals. The Northshore High School Wind
Symphony pursues the highest professional standards
and is determined to bring its audiences the finest
artistic repertoire from all musical periods,
cultures, and styles. The Wind Symphony is
conducted by Mr. Daniel Eitmann.
Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Band
has developed an exemplary reputation for their
performances. Membership is drawn from some of the
finest musicians attending Northshore High School.
The ensemble is dedicated to playing outstanding and
challenging works of diverse musical styles while
furthering wind music of artistic and historical
significance. The Symphonic Band is conducted by
Ms. Jessica Lizana.
Concert Band

The Concert Band
fosters the highest performance standards while
offering its members an opportunity to expand their
technical, intellectual, and musical horizons. The
group seeks to broaden performance skills through
the programming of exemplary literature while
fostering an interest in the band as an integral
part of the American musical scene. The Concert
Band is co-conducted by Mr. Daniel Eitmann and Ms.
Jessica Lizana.
Jazz Ensemble

The Northshore
High School Jazz Ensemble is composed of students
wishing to expand their musical talents into the
truly American art form of jazz. The Jazz Ensemble
has upheld a tradition of being one of the finest
high school groups in the region. They perform a
wide range of repertoire including Glen Miller big
band standards, small combo pieces by Miles Davis
and John Coltrane and more current funk and
jazz/rock. They frequently perform at jazz
competitions and host professional jazz musicians in
solo appearances. This ensemble provides students an
excellent opportunity to develop an understanding of
jazz chord structures, jazz solo and improvisational
techniques.
Panther Pride
Marching Band

The Panther Pride
Marching Band enjoys a reputation of excellence for
high quality musical and visual performances. One of
the most visible organizations on campus, the
ensemble performs for thousands of audience members
at a variety of athletic events, parades, festivals,
and contests. The Panther Pride Marching Band
embodies the spirit and pride of Northshore High
School. The band is led by Mr. Daniel Eitmann,
Director of Bands, Ms. Jessica Lizana, Assistant
Director of Bands, and Ms. Megan Pound, Belle
Instructor.
The Belles

The Belles are an
integral part of the Northshore High School Marching
Band. They develop skills in dance, flag routines
and rifles that add color and movement to the
Marching Band shows and street parades. The Belles
also perform synchronized dance routines in the
stands at football games accompanying the Band.
After marching season the Belles develop their
winter guard show to be performed at competitions
state wide. Membership in The Belles occurs through
an audition process in the Spring and is open to all
students.
